Beautiful, locally grown tulips to brighten your winter & spring

tulip csa - winter 2024

The 2024 Tulip CSA is now over. Check back in December for details on the 2025 CSA.

It’s been a mad rush but we got all the tulips planted in time to offer Tulip CSA shares as Christmas gifts. I am so excited as this has been my goal for a couple of years and I finally made it thanks to a few friends who pitched in with the planting.

So without further adieu…

THINKING ABOUT GIFTING A CSA SHARE? HERE’S SOME INFORMATION:

  • If you are gifting multiple flower shares to different people, we kindly ask that you complete separate transactions for each person. This will help us track their contact information correctly! Thank you!

  • All gift givers will be emailed a printable digital flyer explaining the details of the Tulip CSA and featuring the dates and pick-up location. This flyer can be printed at home and can be given to your gift recipient. Please make sure that you print the correct option for your choice.

  • Alternatively, check out our shop for a gorgeous card (+$4) that can be sent to you or your recipient that will also include these details.

  • If your gift recipient does not like the dates and/or pick-up location you have chosen, I am happy to work with them to switch to a better choice.

Terms of Service (aka The Rules)

  • Grower's Choice of 10 Stems

Tulip bouquets will include a grower’s choice mix of 10 freshly cut, tulips, wrapped in a paper sleeve. We will always try to include some specialty varieties, like peony or parrot tulips, but sometimes they will be straight, traditional tulips. It all depends on what is blooming that week.

  • Email Reminders.

We will send out an email reminder either the night before or the morning of your pick up day.

Please be sure to add lea@rainbowridgeflowers.com to your email contacts to ensure that our messages don’t go to your Spam folder. We also ask for a phone number. This will only be used if there is an emergency and we need to cancel the bouquet pick-up on a short notice.

  • When picking up your tulips...

Please check off your name on the supplied members’ pick-up list.

  • No cancellations or changes.

It is your responsibility to pick up the bouquets each week. There are no refunds for missed appointments or cancellations. If you cannot make it, we recommend sending a friend in your stead. Any flowers that are not claimed by the close of the pick-up window will be forfeited (i.e. will be given away).

  • For the longest vase-life:

Keep tulips out of direct light and heat and in a cool location. They will fade faster if they are too warm. Snip about half-an-inch off the bottom of stems before putting them in cool, clean water. Change the water every 2-3 days. Tulips continue growing even after cutting. So if they are too tall you can trim stems to a shorter length. But please be aware that some of our varieties do naturally flop over. This is normal for them and we believe it adds a bit of whimsy to your vase design.

  • We want you to be happy with your flowers.

So if the tulips didn’t last at least a week or if your bouquet was missing when you go to pick it up, then please let me know. I will do everything I can to make it right.
